Feeling kinda funny...

What exactly is it that makes fantasy so much more attractive than real life? Why is it possible to build up these insane worlds in peoples heads to the point where they actually prefer them to what their own senses are telling them?

I know how amazing the real world is alright. I have an inclining of the bloody fantastic things our own bodies are doing every second in order to keep us alive, I know about some of the ridiculously complex social structures which have cropped up throughout the world, I vaguely get some of the unbelievable reactions needed to keep a star burning...

But, nobody else seems to get it. They're more concerned with their fucking television sets or magazines or pathetic little social grudges.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!

WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK WHAT THE NEIGHBOURS GET UP TO!?! WHO REALLY SHITS THEMSELVES WITH FALSE REMORSE WHEN A TELEVISION CHARACTER GETS WRITTEN OUT OF A SCRIPT THAT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN CREATED BY THE MOTHER OF ALL AGONY AUNTS ON CRACK!!?

The Mystery of the Bag

I have in my possession something that scientists and philosophers alike would kill to own. It's my old camping/school bag, and once again I have been reminded of it's awesome power.

For one thing, it breeds pens. Put any kind of pen into any pocket on that bag and regardless of how much later you reach inside to regain it there will be an identical twin awaiting you...sometimes three or four.

Also, it hides things. Shadow has theorised that the various entryways into my bag are in fact dimensional gateways into that same "theoretical state" as schrodingers (or however the hell you spell the kooky sounding blocks name) cat...and I may have to concur with his view, since I have no bloody idea how half the things I find in my bag get there (the half I do know about consisted of school books and supplies which I had put in there myself...and occasionally a live snake).

I have dedicated many pointless hours to unravelling the mystique surrounding the bag and have nothing to show for it.

Regardless of exactly how awesome the bag is...there isn't really enough material for me to create a rant about, there would be if I could be bothered to take the whole dimension gate thing a bit further...but I'm not.

Well Then

Yes I am deliberately posting this in the same day as Scuzzmonkey because he hurt my feelings with the insinuation that I don't post, I do post, quite often as it happens, all that red writing down there? That's me. (Edit: haha! i can change the date of your post!! Scuzzmonkey.)

But in other ways I do agree with him, more authors really couldn't hurt so do as the guy says and email him. The worst that can happen is that he'll say no (although frankly scuzz rejecting someone rather than the reverse would be a rare thing indeed) and you'll never read our ramblings again.

Heh, in fact odds are that this doesn't appear in the same day as Scuzz's post because he'll have moved it to tomorrow (Edit: Dammit, I really should of read this all before making the above edit. Damn you! Scuzzmonkey.) (Edit: You see what I mean now people? Mataspore.) or indeed the day after depending upon how many entries backed up we have. Now that I've aired my grievances I may as well talk about the real reason behind this rant of mine, the movie that I went to see about an hour ago, Sweeney Todd.

The film is frankly one of Tim Burtons best...and the acting isn't half bad either. Anyways, to hear what I think about it just read on...

Something from a while ago

Scuzzmonkey and Shadowadler will hopefully remember this, but i thought I may as well post it somewhere more people can see it. This is from my old msn space, I recently found it again so there might be quite a few copy and pastes from there over my next few entries.

Anyways this is one of my personal favourites, I even went through it to check for spelling mistakes (which there were quite a few of) and made one or two changes to the dialogue. Meh, it'd be good to hear what others think of it though, and I know that it won't compare to the works of any decent authors but that's no reason to not give it a go.

There isn't a precursor to this story and there isn't going to be an epilogue, I made up the history on the spot and I can't write from in depth personal views so the style may be something new. Please don't point out my abominable rhyming talent because I am fully aware of how bad that is.
