Everybody has one. The main problem is that they are often at cross-purposes with those of the vast majority.
Hitler is a prime example of this. Others include Theodore Bundy, Peter Sutcliffe (they're serial killers if you're wondering) and the weird french guy who utilised the manyfold abilities of sulphuric acid to dissolve his victims.
Then there are much more subtle ones. These are the slightly less dangerous insane, and the artists. To make it clear, an artist is anyone who can create something that has the potential to change someone elses point of view. I don't consider myself one of them, though amongst the insane I might just be found.
But anyway.
Everyone has reasons for everything they do. The fun lies in rooting out what that is.
For example, Scuzz. He's working the nightshift, it leaves him a zombie throughout most of the day. He does it for the money. But behind that money? What's there? I know he owes his mother some money for the euro-trip, I also know he wants to buy one or possibly both of those nerd-chairs he showed you last entry. What else? Food? Games? Prostitutes? (the last one is ~ fairly unlikely as he does have a girlfriend). But this is boring, money has many uses, most of which are socially acceptable. Very few people collect money for moneys sake.
More interesting one? Lets go with Shadow, he's always fun to poke.
The man CANNOT critiscise, not until anyone else would be hunting down the perpetrator and mercilessly beating their head into a bloody pulp upon a metaphorical paving slab. And I really don't know why. Is he afraid to give offence? Or does he honestly not see the bad things in what people do? We tease him about his terrible alcohol tolerance, laugh at his tendency to blush at the mere mentioning of the word "sex", make more than slightly immature references to his previous love-interests...and fondly and frequently remind him of the times when the mere sight of a bra-strap caused him to flee from the room. Personally I think that he is afraid of giving offence, nonsensically so at times. To the point where I had to actually make vague insults in the direction of his family before he finally told me to shut it. Weird decisions are often made, decisions that make sense...in general terms, but often seems strategically placed to obliterate chances at fun. I think that he doesn't want to enjoy his life, I think that he's set on building himself up to the point of self-sufficiency before any of us do the same, I think that we (that is...his friends) interfere with that aim - because it is incredibly rare for me to be turned away should I come for a visit...
Enough thinking!!!!
I've done enough, I'm bored now.
What's your reason?
