"So you've arrived"
The voice was dark, almost a growl. As Jeeve's vision adjusted to the relative gloom of his new surroundings, he took stock of it's owner. It was broad set, humanoid, with the same tar black skin as the previous encounter. Two pitch black chest plates hung from it's shoulders, and the rest of the armoured suit made it look like some kind of strangely distorted stag beetle. The face was skeletal, as if the flesh had been torn from it, except for the eyes, which now glowed white as they stared back at Jeeves. Krimmen Jeeves thought.
Jeeves looked into the floor and saw his own reflection staring back at him. His normally neat brown hair hang lopsidedly accross his face, his black longcoat and combat trousers battered and torn. The walls curved upwards over his head, as if they were in a section of a dome. He looked to his left and saw Mac hanging next to him.
It spoke again, but the jaw did not move as the voice resonated forth once more.
"You've caused us quite a problem, you and your friends"
Jeeves's eyes rolled in his head, he could feel the pulse pounding heavily around his addled brain. Suddenly he became alert as he realised, looking outside of the window behind his presumed captor, that he was in space.
The Earth hung suspended like a great sphere. The blue reflection shone around the room he was stood in, and Jeeve's felt his hope flow out of him, as he realised there was no rescue from this place.
The captor must have realised Jeeves had paying attention, and the captor's hand extended towards him. Jeeves's hands flew apart, breaking the chain binding them together, and he was knocked from his chest, 10 feet through the air, and landed with a crunch on the solid black reflective surface that formed the floor.
"Tell me how to remove the containment field, NOW"
Jeeves mind flashed back. He remembered Pogo jumping towards an army of Krimmen. He remembered the blinding light, streaming from Pogo's body as it tore itself apart. To destroy them Jeeves mind raced. But no, the Krimmen said containment, if the Krimmen are only contained, then Pogo survived.
"He survived..." came the growl from the Krimmen.
Jeeves closed his eyes, and tried to quiet his mind, a meditation.
"It matters not now!" said the voice mockingly, "you've already told me the most important part!"
Jeeves opened his eyes and saw behind the Krimmen, a field of light had opened up, with what appeared to be dust floating in torchlight.
"and now, your end."
Jeeves nodded at Mac, and they both focused I will not move. The physical body is my vehicle. I am not my body. The Krimmen raised his hand, and nothing happened.
"Oh very clever"
Before Jeeves could even breath, Mac found his head clasped in a great black fist like iron, and was thrown into the light, where he hung suspended, white lightening emenating from his ankles and wrists.
Jeeves made a move at the Krimmen, managing to move one arm to the side and even laying a blow on the creature's jaw. It's all or nothing now he thought. But the Krimmen's elbow struck him in the chest, and threw him into the suspending light. The white lightening did not burn or hurt, but was just holding him there, like some etheric handcuff.
The Krimmen leaned close to Jeeves face. "I will never let it be said you were not brave until the last." The breath of the creature smelt like burnt sugar. "Your soul has a lot of energy" The being mused. "Definitely worth the harvest".
Mac and Jeeves screamed in unison. This was beyond pain. Pain was of the body. Jeeves could feel his very being being torn at. The lightening had engulfed his entire body now, the glow dispersing around him. The pain continued, like a burning accross his battered body, in his mind it felt like stars were exploding, he clenched his eyes. This was the end. After all this fighting.
Suddenly the pain stopped. Jeeves slowly opened his eyes. The general was stood with the Krimmen. The Krimmen, as ever, just looked blank, the general looked slightly intrigued.
"Why are they still alive?" asked the Krimmen, not sounding entirely convinced of his own assessment.
"They're coming for them" Said the general quietly.
"Then we shall place them on a constant drain. Lets see how we can draw out of them"
The pain returned to Jeeves, and he and Mac started screaming once more. Then all was black.
